1831 - It all began in 1831 when Orazio Valeggia founded the «Orazio Valeggia» Company in Dolo, a small town near Venice.

The company focused on implants production even when its headquarters moved to Padova (1854).

Orazio Valeggia worked actively for many years in the healthcare field and established a strong partnership and clinical research programme with the Padua Hospital. Padua was and still is the seat of one of the most prestigious University Medicine and Surgery Faculties in Italy.

As the Faculty became more and more important in the healthcare world, the "Valeggia"  Company evolved as well: from the first prosthesis to a gradually diversified production strategy over the years. The products introduced in the market were the synthesis of the strong relationship with the Paduan Faculty and the constant scientific progress research.
